Dan and Jackie on the lower Sac

11/22....Wow, talk about fast learners. Dan and Jackie took a fly fishing class last spring, made a few trips to the Yosemite area and the eastern sierras with only moderate succcess. They honered me by fishing with me on thier first ever drift trip. They figured out the casting, mending and drifting thing quickly and they were rewarded with some really nice fish. Jackie is pictured above with a beautiful 19 inch lower Sac rainbow. Luck was with Jackie to be sure. Dan had some nice ones too but Jackie was better with the flyrod than with the camera.  Fun fishing and fun people; you can't lose. It was a cool day with light rain off and on but that helped the fishing.
