Late summer Fireworks (August 2015)

Te fishing is excellent in the upper stretches of the Sac. This is Roberta with a summer fish just about 20 inches. In a couple months this fish will gain a full pound thanks to the spawning salmon.......

This Cam with a very colorful fish.THis fish was taken in big water and put up quite a fight. We are so lucky to have some of the best and hard fighting fish in northern Cal.

Kavin and Lefty are back.....

May 5th...... They had so much fun they decided an another trip......:-).

Not only were lefty and Kavin better prepared this time the fishing was even a bit better that last time. Both father and son had several opportunities and both landed some nice fish....again......

 

Anthony and Jan..... another great trip

May 2nd...... Anthony and Jan. Anthony has fisher with me few times in the past, this time he brought a friend Jan to share the experience with. Both guys fished well and hooked up with quite a few fish in the 17 to 21 inch range. Jan was a bit new to fly fishing and had a little trouble stripping in after the initial strike. He hooked and lost a few but finally brought this colorful beauty to the net.

Anthony has drifted several times and was ready when the big one swallowed his nymph. This big guy hit below the Wnydom riffle and fought long and hard before succombing to the net and this photo op...

Bob and Dave....the submariners

April 30th....... Bob and dave are old friends from their old US Navy days. We shared a ton of old stories. Since were all Navy veterans we had quite a bit in common. Their submarine stories were fascinating.

They had never drifted the lower sac before so after some warm up they began to hook AND land a few nice fish...... the fishing has remained good and today was no exception.
