These fish are typical on any given day on the lower Sacramento River. Some of these photos are from the Pit River, the upper Sacramento and Hat Creek. Different places fish better at different times.

Sisters!

Meadow and Maggie made it look easy the other day! We did and afternoon/evening drift and while we started of slowly (Meadow did manage a 19 incher into the net). These girls can fish! The wind laid down for us and we managed to find wild fish in just about every run and riffle. Meadow even had time for some creative photography.....(see below)

I had a great time ladies! Thanks!

Best Friends

Cory and Robert are childhood friends and this was their first drift fishing trip. As first time fishermen we used spinning outfits with an indicator and the usual flies (mostly caddis). They boated 7 in a half day trip. As you can imagines there were a few 'technical' difficulties. But overall the boys did great!

Dave! A mid day drift....

Dave and I found a nice day and a few fish to boot. Dave is a beginner fly fisherman and did well on our 4 hr drift.... Dave is a little camera shy: Oooooops! bad cameraman! Sorry Dave.

Brothers Forever

September was a hot month but brothers Phil and Jeremy didn't let it slow them down. They fished well and they were rewarded with fat wild rainbows from 12 to 20 inches (I guess that makes some of them 'legally' steelhead.....). We had a great time and released a bunch of nice fish.

Summer on the Lower Sac

It was a bit of a hot one as is the norm in Redding.... but the big ones still bite!

Don boated this beauty in mid day...... The fast current made it a tough and exciting fight.
