These fish are typical on any given day on the lower Sacramento River. Some of these photos are from the Pit River, the upper Sacramento and Hat Creek. Different places fish better at different times.

Casey on the wall of fame.....:-)

4/27....It was a beautiful Friday and Casey was back for a weekend of fly fishing and to land a few nice fish! He was successful right out of the gate. This beautifully colored 19 incher came to the net after a long hard fight in fast water. The water was clear and the sun was out and so were the PMD's and caddis. The fish were on the bite most of the day and especially again in the evening. We spent the rest of the weekend on the Pitt and did some 'recon' work Squaw Creek. Unfortunately there were more people than fish on 'Opening Day'. We moved to the Pitt went upstrean and found a nice private spot and laned about 15 which made for a nice evening. The fish were between 12 and 18 inches with most of the fish tipping the ruler at about 14".
